ROCK HILL Shots fired at a Rock Hill apartment on Saturday left two men with gunshot wounds and a minivan with bullet holes, police say.
At about 1:15 a.m., officers were sent to an East Main Street apartment after receiving calls that two men had been shot. When they arrived, they found that Taurus Thompson, 35, had a gunshot wound on his right hand and 31-year-old Tyress Littlejohn had a gunshot wound on his right forearm, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
Police spoke with a 32-year-old witness who said a man wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, black shoes and a ski mask knocked on the door. When he opened it, the man held a gun at him. The witness said he closed the door and heard a gunshot, the report states. He said he saw the gunman run towards the back of the apartment complex.
Police searched the parking lot and found a Ford Windstar with several bullet holes in it, the report states. Police spoke with the seven other people who were in the apartment, all of whom said they didn't see anything but did hear at least one gunshot. Several neighbors told police they heard between five to nine shots go off.
Officers searched the Windstar, while EMS took Littlejohn and Thompson to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment. Both had been discharged by Tuesday, hospital officials said.
Neither Thompson nor the witness live at the apartment complex where the shooting happened. Littlejohn lives there with a 40-year-old woman, according to the report.
