A portion of East Fourth Street remains closed near uptown after a fuel leak involving a tractor-trailer.

A HazMat team was called to the 1200 block of Fourth between Kings Drive and Charlottetowne Avenue around 10 a.m. Tuesday. It took crews 50 minutes to bring the incident under control, according to fire spokesman Capt. Mark Basnight. No injuries were reported.

Still, Fourth Street remains closed for the foreseeable future. Drivers can use Elizabeth Avenue as an alternate route.
