Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested a man for telling U.S. Airways employees he had a bomb in his carry-on bag. Felipe Moraga Martin, 24, was charged Saturday with felony reporting of a false bomb at a public building.

Police said that while Martin was in line to board a U.S. Airways plane from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, he told airline employees that he had a bomb in his carry-on luggage.

When airline officials questioned Martin, he repeated that he had bomb in the airport concourse, according to a police report.

Police determined that Martin did not have a bomb in his carry-on and arrested him on the felony false reporting charge. He was later booked in the Mecklenburg County jail on a $20,000 secured bond.
