Gastonia police Wednesday were searching for suspects in a car break-in and larceny.

A Gastonia woman told police that someone had broken into her car and stolen a book-bag on Jan. 5 at the Gastonia Conference Center at 145 South Marietta Street.

Surveillance video of the incident shows two suspects walking around where the woman’s car was parked. Police described the suspects as a black man who was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and a white female wearing a tan coat with a fur-lined hood.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Anyone with information should call Officer Matt Sherrill at 704-866-6983 or Crime Stoppers of Gaston County at 704-861-8000.
