“So, are you married?” I get this question a lot. A LOT. And it’s perfectly legitimate—I’m at the helm of the region’s premier bridal publication. So here’s the answer: nope! Not yet.

But what may seem to put me at a disadvantage to someone who’s walked that aisle herself, also makes me the perfect person to fill these pages with inspiration, real weddings, and ideas for making your vision—for the planning, the big day, and beyond—a reality. As I soak in all the talent in Charlotte’s bridal community and meet the wonderful people who showcase their work in these pages, I can see everything with the fresh eyes of someone on “this side” of that rite of passage.

Everything this magazine has to offer you is something I, too, would love. Someday, will I want my wedding to be on-trend but also timeless? Of course! Am I already torn between a more classic, regal look and my soft spot for vintage charm? Oh yeah. Luckily, I have time to figure that out—but for those of you in the more immediate stages of decision-making, we’ve tried to present the best of many different styles to inspire you.

One such example is our floral feature this issue, in which local floral designers have created bridal bouquets to match every personality, shot by the incredibly talented Cassandra Bradley with BlueSky Studios.

This feature is just one of the ways you may notice a fresh look throughout this issue. In addition to flowers, we’ve ramped up the glamour with our fashion spread. While we’ve added fun new sections and stories, we’re still committed to being your first-stop source for planning, so be sure to stop in our planning section.

Whether you’ve just said ‘yes’ or are finalizing those last details, there’s something here for everyone—thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
