    Jerald Melberg Gallery presents a survey of paintings, works on paper and prints by Robert Motherwell. January 12 Ð March 9, 2013 Robert Motherwell (1915-1991) was one of the youngest members of the New York School, as well as one of the founders of the Abstract Expressionist movement. Well-educated and highly intellectual, Motherwell was also the leading spokesman for that generation of artists. Like other Abstract Expressionists, Motherwell rejected conventional realism.
