Library plan: The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will hold a community forum 6-8 p.m. Feb. 5 at North County Regional Library, 16500 Holly Crest Lane, Huntersville. This will be one of four forums held around the county in order to collect community input on the library’s three-year strategic plan. Davidson

Instructors needed: The town of Davidson Parks and Recreation Department is looking for summer camp instructors in the areas of arts; crafts and games; fitness; nature classes; knitting; outdoor exploration; preschool; unicycle instruction; science; jump rope; bird house-making; cooking and other unique areas. Cornelius

Historic Preservation Commission: The Historic Preservation Commission meeting originally scheduled for Jan. 24, has been moved to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in room 204 at Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave. Davidson College Archivist and Records Management Coordinator Jan Blodgett will be the guest speaker. Couch-to-5K: The Cornelius PARC Department will host this six-week class 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday nights from Jan. 28 to March 11 at Bailey Middle School Track, 11900 Bailey Road. Designed for beginner runners, the program puts participants through a running workout that progresses towards being able to run a 5K and teaches proper warm-up techniques and stretches for quicker workout recovery. $40 for residents, $48 for nonresidents.
