Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say one person was shot after an apparent fight in a parking lot early Saturday.
The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on West Woodlawn Road near the intersection of Wellingford Street.
But according to police, it appears a fight had broken out in the parking lot when one person went to their vehicle and got a weapon. The suspect then fired a shot, striking one person.
The victim was in stable condition at a local hospital early Saturday. Police interviewed witnesses after the shooting but it is not yet known whether any arrests have been made.
