$40K Powerball ticket sold in Fort Mill to expire

FORT MILL Time is running out to claim a Powerball ticket worth $40,000 sold in Fort Mill.

If you purchased a Powerball ticket from Gate Petroleum No. 326 at 2911 S.C. 160 West in Fort Mill before Aug. 1, you should check your tickets.

The ticket purchased for the Aug. 1 drawing is worth $40,000 and must be claimed no later than Monday, Jan. 28. The ticket matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball number. The ticket holder purchased PowerPlay to see the would be $10,000 winnings increase to $40,000.

The Powerball numbers for Aug. 1 were 3 - 16 - 48 - 56 - 58 Powerball: 4

If the prize is not claimed, the $40,000 winnings will be deposited in the Education Lottery Account to support educational programs in South Carolina.
