Alexander County authorities say a wreck early Tuesday has disrupted some service to its 911 Communication Center.
The Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone who has an emergency to call 828-632-2911.
Details about the wreck were not immediately available. But in a note on its Facebook page, the Sheriff’s Office said it lost several telephone lines that feed into the 911 center.
Crews are working to restore the service, and repairs should be complete by lunch time, officials said.
