AT&T U-verse outages reported in Charlotte

Part of a number of outage reports around the country

A number of AT&T customers in the Charlotte area are without service as the company works to fix problems with its U-verse system. Similar outages have been reported Tuesday across the Southeast.

“AT&T currently has a limited number of customers in some markets who may be experiencing issues with U-verse service,” North Carolina AT&T spokesman Josh Gelinas said by e-mail. “ A team of engineers and technicians are working to resolve the issue, and we apologize for any inconvenience to our customers.”

AT&T’s U-verse includes phone, Internet and digital TV.

It is still unclear how many people in Charlotte or in the Carolinas are affected. News reports indicate similar outages are being reported in Florida, Georgia and Arkansas.
