Lenoir police and SBI officials Thursday were investigating a body found behind the Lenoir Mall on Morganton Boulevard. Police identified the deceased as 28-year-old Wade Michael Taylor Jr. of Lenoir and called the case a suspicious death investigation.
That investigation began around 1:46 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials said they would release the cause of death after an autopsy report.
