Police are searching for missing Charlotte girl Keyonna Leaks.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Saturday that a 12-year-old girl reported missing earlier this week has been found.

Keyonna Leak was located this morning at the transit center in uptown, police said.

In a Facebook post, the girl’s aunt said Keyonna had called her mother and was now talking with police.

“Thank you Jesus! She has been dropped off,” states the Facebook post. “God is so good! #Tears of joy#”

CMPD asked for help in finding Keyonna after police said she was last seen Thursday on Woodfield drive. Relatives told WBTV the girl had left home for school that morning, but didn’t come home after classes were done. The station said police were investigating Facebook messages sent from a page the girl had set up under a fake name. Cameron Steele contributed.
