Actor Kiowa Gordon, who played werewolf Embry Call in the “Twilight” series of movies, will help Lake Norman High’s theater program raise funds for a class trip to a prestigious acting festival in Scotland.Gordon will participate in a Jan. 31 fundraiser at the school, which includes a meet-and-greet with the actor from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and a special improvisational performance by The Academy, LNHS’s advanced acting honors class, at 7:30 p.m.The cost of the fundraiser is $50 per person, and includes appetizers, photos with Gordon and seats for the improv show, “Lake Norman Live!” Tickets are available for the show separately at $5 per person.Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards helping The Academy’s students attend the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, considered one of the world’s largest arts festivals. Students will visit the state capitol building, the state Museum of Natural History and the N.C. History Museum. The cost is $35 per student, which includes transportation and lunch. Winter Dance: 6:30-9 p.m. Feb. 22 at the school. The dance is for eighth-grade students only.
