CONCORD -- A pedestrian walking on railroad tracks was struck by a train Sunday evening, according to Amtrak officials.
The incident was reported about 5:35 p.m., between Concord and Kannapolis. It involved a northbound Amtrak train, headed to Raleigh from Charlotte.
Amtrak officials said there were no injuries to anyone aboard the train, which was able to complete its trip after a delay. Concord police are investigating the incident, authorities say, but no other details have been released.
