LENOIR -- Police in Lenoir say the man whose body was discovered behind a shopping center last week was the victim of a homicide.
The body of 29-year-old Wade Taylor was found last Wednesday near the Lenoir Mall, on Morganton Boulevard. At the time, police said they would need an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
But on Monday, investigators say Taylor died as the result of injuries from an assault. No arrests have been announced in the case, and Lenoir police ask that anyone with information in the case contact them at 828-757-2100, or leave information with Crime Stoppers of Caldwell County, 828-758-8300.
