• In some editions of Monday’s Observer, a story on the Sports front about Chris Culliver named the wrong team that the San Francisco 49ers beat in the NFC Championship Game. The 49ers beat the Atlanta Falcons.

• A story in Monday’s Sci-Tech pages miscalculated the amount of carbon dioxide an acre of woodlot absorbs, expressed as a number of average cars. A single acre of woodlot would counter the emissions of about 2.7 cars. For 40 acres, that would be about 109 cars.

• A story on page 1B Monday about ideas for revamping the tax system incorrectly stated the amount of a state sales tax increase proposed by Senate Republicans. The 8.05 percent rate cited reflects the combined local and state sales tax rate.
