Somehow, and Im not quite sure how, Robert has started to watch Once Upon a Time with me. I snuck a few episodes in while we were traveling and I was hoping this would inspire him to watch more. As sneaky as I try to be, my plans dont usually work out so well. Yet, when I turned on an episode during our flight home, Robert jumped on the opportunity to watch it with me. The only word to come to mind was hallelujah!
The fact is, Robert and I almost never agree on television shows. On top of that, he fits the stereotype of a husband who covets the remote. Luckily Im too busy blogging or pinning because Id never get to watch anything if I wasnt. When it comes to my Sunday nights with Once Upon a Time, I fight back though. I can wait to watch anything else from the DVR, but not my ABC favourite.
Now were watching it together and it makes such a nice change! Its fun to talk plotlines with him and discuss our favourite characters. Weve always watched The Big Bang Theory and Psych together, but that is where our similarities end. Actually, to prove who has more of a claim on the TV, I would never have heard of these shows had I not caught him watching them. It doesnt take a lot for me to get involved in a new series, but when it comes to the shows I watch, Robert never gets hooked. . . until now.
More than anything, it feels great to see him enjoy something Im so passionate about (fairytales). Im a big romantic sap and Robert isnt, so for us to find a show that meets both of our interests is pretty amazing. Plus, now we dont have to fight over the remote every Sunday night!
Are there any shows you and your partner watch together? Any Once Upon a Time fans out there with us?
