A Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras celebration will be 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 9 at e2. Dixie Land Express will provide live New Orleans jazz from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the bar; specials include $6 hurricanes, sazeracs and ramos gin fizzes. Beads, giveaways and $3 beers will be provided by Louisiana’s Abita Brewing Co. throughout the evening. Brian Mottola, e2’s chef de cuisine, will prepare New Orleans dinner specials in addition to the regular menu. For reservations, 704-414-4787.

Georges Brasserie

Celebrate Mardi Gras at Piedmont Row’s Georges Brasserie in SouthPark on Feb. 12. Come in for featured drinks, a Mardi Gras menu featuring New Orleans seafood gumbo, seared redfish with crawfish etouffee and traditional beignets. Groove Masters, a New Orleans jazz band, will provide live music for the evening.

Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar

A series of artisan cooking classes will be offered at Wolfgang Puck’s at Phillip’s Place in SouthPark with Executive Chef Scott Wallen. Classes are two hours long and held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Classes are as follows: March 23, Sunday Brunch; May 18, Handmade Pastas; July 27, Farmer’s Tribute; Sept. 28, Rome Remembered and Nov. 16, Italian Sunday Supper. Zebra

Del Frisco’s in SouthPark and Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Southend are both running Valentine’s Day promotions in February. Del’s features an 8 oz. filet and an 8 oz. lobster tail for $79 Feb. 14-17. Studio Movie Grill

Taking over Mez’s spot at the EpiCentre, Studio Movie Grill plans to open in February. A full service theater serving everything from appetizers to desserts, this newest Charlotte location will be Studio Movie Grill’s 12th. A look at their menu finds wings, sliders, tacos, burgers, pizzas and a long list of adult beverages from the bar. Kids’ menu includes entrees and sides to serve as meals or snacks.
