A Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras celebration will be 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 9 at e2. Dixie Land Express will provide live New Orleans jazz from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the bar; specials include $6 hurricanes, sazeracs and ramos gin fizzes. Beads, giveaways and $3 beers will be provided by Louisiana’s Abita Brewing Co. throughout the evening. Georges Brasserie

Celebrate Mardi Gras at Piedmont Row’s Georges Brasserie in SouthPark on Feb. 12. Come in for featured drinks, a Mardi Gras menu featuring New Orleans seafood gumbo, seared redfish with crawfish etouffee and traditional beignets. Groove Masters, a New Orleans jazz band, will provide live music for the evening.

Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar

A series of artisan cooking classes will be offered at Wolfgang Puck’s at Phillip’s Place in SouthPark with Executive Chef Scott Wallen. Taking over Mez’s spot at the EpiCentre, Studio Movie Grill plans to open in February. A full service theater serving everything from appetizers to desserts, this newest Charlotte location will be Studio Movie Grill’s 12th.
