Drum roll please...
I am ecstatic to announce that I am down not one but two pant sizes!!!
Even if I don't win this thing, this accomplishment means the entire shabang for me. The fact that I don't have to defy all laws of science to button my pants is enough of a win for me.
I opened my closet up this morning to look for something to wear to school today and I saw them- the white dress pants from Gap that I had bought on sale. They were two sizes too small but I thought, "Hey, one day.". When I had tried them on after buying them, they were nowhere close to comfortable or wearable. Super discouraged, I put them on a hanger and for a year now, there they have remained.
As I stood there, I thought, "This will either be a fantastic day or this will be the worst day ever." And it all depended on that pair of pants.
I put those bad boys on and they fit. Not only could I button them up but I didn't have to suck in and hold my breath! I felt like the woman from the Special K challenge commercials. Fireworks bursting, thunderous applause, and all the woohooing you can imagine sounded off all around me.
All this walking around the classroom and school is really paying off! :)
I've also started Pilates with my suitemates this week. Now if you've ever done Pilates before, you know that it's no joke. When I did my first Pilates session, I laughed during and after the class because it didn't seem like I had done anything.
Boy was I wrong.
The next morning, I was so sore, I couldn't even do the simple curl up to get out of bed. My abs were crying in agony. I didn't realize how much of a workout it would be but I really enjoyed it. My suitemates and I have determined that if we continue doing Pilates regularly, we'll have some wicked abs.
