Matchup to Watch
James Harden vs. Gerald Henderson: Harden took over in the fourth quarter against the Bobcats in Charlotte, continuously getting to the foul line in a comeback victory.
Observations
• Bobcats big man Byron Mullens (ankle) practiced fully on Friday and theres a chance he might play Saturday against the Rockets.
• The Rockets are the only team in the NBA using as many young players as the Bobcats in big-minute roles.
Houstons roster includes six free agents signed in the last seven months.
• One of those free agents, point guard Jeremy Lin, is looking like an expensive mistake.
Tap-ins
• The Rockets made the biggest trade of this NBA season, acquiring Harden from Oklahoma City, then signing him to a maximum contract.
• Its a rarity in the NBA schedule that two teams would be so rested: Neither the Rockets nor the Bobcats played Thursday or Friday. Houston is coming off a rough January full of travel that included a seven-game losing streak.
Did you know?
The Rockets have won their last four meetings with the Bobcats, and only one of those games was decided by fewer than 12 points.
