Van Hmung Ling, a graduating senior at Independence High, is the first recipient of New Life Theological Seminary’s Dr. Eddie Grigg Presidential Scholarship.
The scholarship for Cabarrus County high school students, valued at $10,000, is named for the founder and current president of the seminary. Scholarships are available annually to seniors who have indicated interest in a career in vocational Christian service. Applicants are judged on academic performance, demonstrated Christian character, and church and community involvement.
