Statistically speaking: Small business owners want stricter rules for Wall Street

According to a Lake Research Partners for Small Business Majority survey released last week, 80 percent of small-business owners see a need for stricter rules for financial institutions and Wall Street. Here are other findings:

37 percent of entrepreneurs said a bank or other financial institution processed their bank transactions in a way that maximized fees.

24 percent of small-business owners said they have experienced a lack of transparency or unclear terms with prepaid cards, mobile banking and more.

94 percent of small-business owners would support regulations requiring an upfront full disclosure of terms for financial products.
