Gastonia cemetery vandalism reported

GASTONIA -- Police in Gastonia are investigating vandalism which took place Friday night or Saturday morning at a cemetery.

Officials at Gaston Memorial Park, in the 1200 block of South New Hope Road, say someone used spray paint to vandalize a mausoleum. It occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday, officials say.

Police say someone spray-painted drawings and messages on the mausoleum.
