A busy intersection in northeast Charlotte is closed after a wreck involving two school buses and another vehicle.

The wreck happened at the intersection of East W.T. Harris Boulevard and The Plaza. The intersection will be shut down for an undetermined amount of time, police say.

Paramedics said a total of six patients were transported from the scene, though none of them have life-threatening injuries.

The patients were taken to Carolinas Medical Center-University. Authorities have not released the bus numbers or said which schools they were coming from.
