Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested three men in connection with a carjacking that happened on Jan. 21 in the 9900 block of John Redford Road.
Mark O’Brian Ellis, 17, Jacinto Elroy Henderson, 18, and Daterrious Daquan Johnson, 18, have all been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Officers received a call on Jan. 21 from a victim who said he was visiting a friend on John Redford Road and said when he left the friend’s house, a suspect approached his car with a gun.
The suspect ordered the victim to get out of the vehicle and to get onto the ground, police said. The victim obeyed and was approached by a second suspect who took his cell phone and wallet, police said.
The suspects left the scene in the victim’s car with a third suspect, according to authorities.
Ellis, Henderson and Johnson were identified as the suspects and have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon in addition to the robbery charge.
