By Elizabeth Thomas

A Charlotte man is facing child neglect charges after his 6-year-old child was found wandering under-dressed on Albemarle Road on Tuesday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say a witness saw the six-year-old walking around alone in the 6300 block of Albemarle Road, undressed for the weather conditions around 10:30 Tuesday morning.

The witness took control of the child and called police.

The child was in police custody for nearly an hour before a parent was located.

The parent, Gregory Reid, was arrested and charged with child neglect.

The child was not injured.
