Twenty-two defendants were convicted of felony offenses and sentenced this week in Criminal Superior Court in Catawba County, according to a press release.
Those individuals and their related charges include:
• Robert Daniel Deese, 34, of Conover, convicted of three counts of indecent liberties with a child.and sentenced to no less than 15 months and no more than 18 months in the Division of Adult Correction.
• James Walter Dunn, 45, of Hickory, convicted of possession of a stolen firearm and sentenced to no less than 8 months and no more than 19 months in the Division of Adult Correction.
• Joey Rodney Herron, 47, of Hickory, convicted of failure to register as a convicted sex offender and sentenced to no less than 11 months and no more than 23 months in the Division of Adult Correction.
• Ronald Ed Hunter, 54, of Newton, convicted of indecent liberties with a child and sentenced to no less than 11 months and no more than 23 months in the Division of Adult Correction.
• Orlando Levern Jones, 22, of Newton, convicted of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, possession of firearm by convicted felon and carry concealed weapon and sentenced to no less than 12 months and no more than 24 months in the Division of Adult Correction.
• Robert Christopher Poynter, 46, of Conover, convicted of two counts of first degree statutory sex offense and two counts of indecent liberties with a child and sentenced to no less than 300 months and no more than 369 months in the Division of Adult Correction.
• Tony Lewis Curtis, 48, of Hickory, convicted of uttering forged instrument.
• Victor Sandoval Duarte, 24, of Hickory, convicted of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, sell marijuana, deliver marijuana and attempted trafficking cocaine by sale.
• Monte Eugene Eaker, 17, of Conover, convicted of five counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle.
• Travis Sentell Goode, 27, of Maiden, convicted of possession of marijuana.
• Thomas Ray Hoosier, 31, of Icard, convicted of possession of cocaine.
• Kathleen Johnson, 67, of Conover, convicted of two counts of selling cocaine.
• Angel Inez Jolly, 23, of Maiden, convicted of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of burglary tools.
• Noah Allen Miller, 20, of Conover, convicted of breaking and entering and larceny.
• Rex Stanley Pegran, 53, of Conover, convicted of conspiracy to sell cocaine.
• Takeyla Kenyade Sims, 24, of Conover, convicted of conspiracy to sell cocaine.
• George Andrew Singer, Jr, 32, of Newton, convicted of two counts breaking and entering.
• Andre Smith, 38, of Lincolnton, convicted of possession of stolen goods.
• Cory Todd Talbert, 20, of Conover, convicted of five counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle.
• Lavonnie Lee White, 31, of Hickory, convicted of possession of cocaine.
• Justin Matthew Wilson, 25, of Taylorsville, convicted of possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
• Daniel Mejia Zapata, 32, of Hickory, convicted of possession of controlled substance on prison / jail premises.
