MOORESVILLE -- Police say a woman has been charged in the stabbing death of a man at a home Sunday night.
Investigators say it appears as if the incident was a domestic dispute.
Dawn Bridget Kavanaugh, 42, was charged with murder. The name of the victim has not been released.
Mooresville police were called about 6 p.m. to a resident in the 100 block of Red Arrow Place. That is off U.S. 21, northwest of Mooresville. Officers said they found a man suffering from a stab wound.
The victim was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he died.
