ROCK HILL Someone stole $25,000 worth of copper wiring from a vacant Rock Hill home, police say.

The 30-year-old homeowner told police on Friday she noticed the electric meter wasn't working and there was no power. She found a hole in a wall on the second floor, and police determined the burglar had removed all the wiring from the residence, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

Police say the intruder entered the Ashley Lane house, which is for sale, through a storage area.

A bedroom also was ransacked, but the woman wasn't sure if anything had been stolen.
