The overnight closure of the ramp from southbound Johnston Road to the Interstate 485 outer loop has been rescheduled to Tuesday night, weather permitting.
Rain, which caused the closure to be postponed from Sunday night, is predicted again for Tuesday night.
But if crews can get a break in the weather, they’ll close the ramp from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, so they can bore holes in the ramp and conduct tests.
The work is part of the $83.3 million widening of I-485 between Rea Road and Interstate 77. One lane is being added in each direction. The work is scheduled for completion by December 2014.
