Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for a teenager who they say cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet after breaking his court-ordered curfew.
Police said Darius Marquis Nicholson, 17, was last seen Monday in uptown.
Nicholson was convicted last year of felony conspiracy to commit common law robbery. He was ordered to wear an electronic monitor as part of his probation in the case, and given a curfew.
But police said Nicholson arrived home late on Monday, and cut off his monitor shortly afterward.
Nicholson now faces charges of interfering with an electronic monitoring device, and for violating the terms of his probation and parole.
Anyone with information about Nicholsons whereabouts is asked to call CMPDs Violent Criminal Apprehension team at 704-336-VCAT (8228) or dial 911.
