Lean Cuisine ravioli recalled

Mushroom flavor may have glass fragments

Check your freezer carefully if you are a fan of Lean Cuisine. Nestle Prepared Foods announced a voluntary recall Tuesday of Lean Cuisine’s Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli, according to the FDA.

Three consumers have reported finding fragments of glass in the ravioli portion of the entree. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled packages were produced in early November 2012. They have the UPC code 13800-58358, with the “best before date” of Dec 2013. The production codes are 2311587812 and 2312587812. Because it is a popular product, Nestle believes very little is left in stores and asks consumers to check their freezers for the packages.

If you have the product, call Nestle Consumer Services, 866-586-9424 or email leancuisine@casupport for instructions. Nestle will provide a coupon to replace the product and also may make arrangements to retrieve the product.
