One of several lollipop sale signs at the front entrance of Endhaven Elementary advertises the school's Valentine's Day lollipop sale fundraiser. Students at Endhaven Elementary decorated lollipops and created Valentine's cards for children battling cancer, on February 12, 2013. Media specialist Beth Kiger and parent Lisa Batts, both cancer survivors, will take the sweet treats to Levine ChildrenÕs Hospital for delivery between February 14-19. Other decorated pops, sold as part of a school fundraiser, will be delivered on Valentine's Day. Endhaven students learn through this project about how to give back to those less fortunate during the ValentineÕs Day holiday. DIEDRA LAIRD - dlaird@charlotteobserver.com
