New Town office

Allen Tate Realtors has opened an office at 1532 Providence Road, in the New Town Market shopping center in Waxhaw. The office will serve Union County and south Charlotte with up to 25 realtors. The office will be managed by Lyn Kessie and Diane Wolfe. Additional details: www.allentate.com.

M/I Homes expands

M/I Homes of Charlotte is expanding into southwest Charlotte and South Carolina.

The Hawk’s Creek development in Tega Cay is located on S.C. 160 and will feature 159 homes. Two designs will be available, each with three to five bedrooms, between two and four baths and two-car garages. This community is expected to have a pool, among other amenities, and will be served by Fort Mill schools. Prices are expected to start at less than $300,000.

At Huntington Forest in southwest Charlotte, M/I Homes will purchase 59 home sites under development. The site is off N.C. 49 near Whitehall Business Park.

The company expects to begin construction this summer. Huntington Forest will feature ranch and two-story homes with three to six bedrooms, two to two-and-a-half baths and two-car garages. Prices start in the $200,000s, and the community is expected to have a pool, playground and walking trails, among other amenities.
