Man shot outside Monroe Road bar

One man was shot in the leg early Friday outside a Monroe Road bar, police say.

The investigation was hindered, say police, because none of the people near the shooting scene claimed to have seen it.

According to police, the shooting occurred about 2:30 a.m., shortly after closing time at McBonie’s Bar and Grill, on Monroe Road east of Wendover Road in the Oakhurst community.

As patrons were leaving, an argument broke out. A short time later, a man was shot. He was taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center, with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

There have been no arrests.
