A portion of West Fourth Street Extension will be closed for much of Saturday, while crews work on a nearby apartment project.
The Charlotte Department of Transportation says the road will be closed from 3 a.m. to 9 p.m. between Johnson and Wales Way and South Irwin Avenue. Crews will be doing crane work on the West Gate Apartment building.
The detour will use Johnson and Wales Way, West Trade Street, and South Sycamore Street.
