A York County family was displaced Saturday after fire tore through their home on Willowcreek Road south of Rock Hill near the Chester County line.

No injuries were reported in the fire west of S.C. 72 near the intersection of Chappell Road, according to officials with the Oakdale Volunteer Fire Department, but the American Red Cross was called to assist the family. The homeowner’s name was not available Saturday afternoon just minutes after fire crews put out the fire.

More than 30 firefighters from volunteer crews from Oakdale, Bethesda, and McConnells departments fought the fire that started after 2 p.m.
