Rock Hill car wash employee charged with stealing gun

ROCK HILL - An employee at a Rock Hill car wash was charged with breaking and entering and larceny after allegedly stealing a pistol from a customer's glove compartment while her car was being detailed on Valentine's Day, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report.

The customer told police her car was picked up by employees from Jamison's Detail Shop & Car Wash from her job and the gun was taken then.

Investigators searched the business after the business owner cooperated and refused to allow any employees to leave until officers could search for the missing .32 caliber pistol.

Police found the gun in a jacket belonging to employee Waymir Parsons, 20, the report states. Parsons denied stealing the pistol but was charged.
