I hope your Valentine's Day will be filled with much love and even more chocolate ;)
Spending most of my Valentine's Day with my 2nd graders was pretty awesome. Even Miss Thiessen scored big with some lovely treats and hand drawn pictures. My teacher left the day early which meant I got to experience 25 seven and eight years old on a jacked up sugar high midmorning.
They don't train you for that in college.
Later tonight, Jason and I will be celebrating our 3rd Valentine's together. This year we decided to avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowds and create our own Valentine's dinner for two.
There's more leftovers at the end of the meal.
We don't have to wait 2 hours in a stuffy, perfume and cologne laden room.
It's just more romantic.
I have scoured through my latest Rachael Ray cookbook and found Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp Scampi. I have never made this before but you can never, and I mean never, go wrong with shrimp. You won't believe me but for less than fifteen dollars, we were able to buy a romantic meal for two.
How will you celebrate the most romantic holiday of the year?
