Rock Hill woman’s wallet snatched at grocery store

ROCK HILL A 63-year-old Rock Hill woman reported to police that a man stole her wallet and the $130 inside it after an early morning trip to the grocery store Saturday.

The woman had finished her shopping at Bi-Lo before 8 a.m. at the store on East Main Street when a man approached her from behind and asked her, “Do you know Jeremy?” a Rock Hill police report states.

The woman turned around and noticed the man had her wallet, started to confront him, but the man fled on foot.

The woman’s cash, keys to her church, credit cards and other information was taken. Officers and a K-9 unit were unable to find the suspect.
