In its fourth year, this two-day event features local holistic and alternative workshops, teachers, vendors, readers and practitioners. Pre-conference seminars, including a community dinner, will be held 6-9 p.m. March 1 at The Palace, 8325 Copley Drive, Cornelius. The conference and expo will be held 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. March 2 at the same location. Friday tickets are $40 per person; Saturday tickets are $50 per person and full weekend tickets are $80 per person. Salute to senior service
Nominations for Home Instead Senior Care’s Salute to Senior Service honorees are being accepted through March 31. The program recognizes the contributions of volunteers 65 and older who give at least 15 hours a month of service. Online voting will take place April 15-30 at salutetoseniorservice.com and each state winner will receive $500 for their favorite nonprofit. The national winner will receive $5,000 for their nonprofit of choice. Self-nominations are accepted, official rules and entry forms: salutetoseniorservice.com.
