A pair of public forums on establishing new streetcar service in Charlotte are scheduled this week. The forums are sponsored by groups that in the past have supported the concept.
The first forum will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Little Rock AME Zion Church’s Florence B. Gunn Theatre. That’s at 401 N. McDowell St. The event is sponsored by the African American Caucus of the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party.
The second program is from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hindu Center of Charlotte, 7400 City View Dr. That forum is sponsored by the South Charlotte Democrats.
