It is now nearing the end of February, and I am officially 90 days away from one of the biggest moments in my life, my wedding day! Yikes! You can imagine the nerves I have going on over here, and the time crunch Im feeling. With that said, I wanted to take it away from all the wedding commotion for a moment, and do a little check-in on how its going with my personal health and fitness goals.
Ill jump right in and start with exercise. While of course there is always room for improvement, I have to say that I am extremely proud of the strides I have made when it comes to my workouts. I have been working with a new trainer, and consistently exercising four to six times a week. It has been tough pushing through some mental roadblocks, and forcing myself to work harder each day in the gym. I see the strength and endurance that Ive gained, and oh does it feel good! Its crazy what can happen when you just trust the process.Staying on my food plan is going well also. When you eliminate certain things it gets to the point where you dont even crave them anymore or at least not as much. There are still times where I want junk or sugary foods, but I have found that not allowing myself to get too hungry helps. I am generally eating every three hours. That can include a small meal or either a snack. I try to make sure that it always includes protein. That combined with drinking A LOT of water has also been my focus.I do give myself some room to enjoy a treat occasionally, and that works for me. I try to be reasonable, and stay away from trigger foods that have the potential to send me in a downward spiral. My famous words are balance and a work in progress!I would love to hear how things are going with you, please share! Whether it is great or not so great, we all experience moments of both. Send me an update of where you are with goals, and what may be hindering you.
