Gastonia police are trying to determine who stole about 200 pairs of womens underwear Tuesday at the Westfield Eastridge Mall.
The theft took place at the Victorias Secret store, according to police. A manager at the store said someone managed to walk off with the underwear, with a value of more than $2,500.
Employees noticed the missing merchandise about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, but it is not clear when the theft took place. Employees also did not have a description of the person or people responsible for the theft.
It isnt the first time a Victorias Secret store has been the victim of thieves. The same store was burglarized of $1,000 worth of bras in May 2010, and a month later, someone took $1,000 worth of lingerie from a Victorias Secret store on Rea Road in southeast Charlotte.
