Explore the art galleries in downtown Concord while enjoying live music and other entertainment. At 9, catch a free screening of the movie “Eyeborgs” at Davis Theatre, 65 Union Street South. Filmed in Winston-Salem, this movie is about government surveillance cameras intended to keep us safe but may be killing people. The director will be at the screening.

Book Blast

Book Blast will feature excerpts from popular Dr. Seuss classics such as “The Cat in the Hat,” One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish,” “Green Eggs and Ham,” “The Foot Book,” “Dr. Seuss’s ABC,” “The Lorax” and “Oh Say Can You Say?” Local performer Mr. Nigel will provide musical entertainment for children, and there will be Dr. Seuss-themed games and free library tote bag to decorate and take home (while supplies last). Children are encouraged to bring a new or gently used book to donate to Concord day care centers. Free for Kidgit Club members; $5 to join Kidgit Club for a year.

Cult Movie Monday

This installment of Cult Movie Monday features the 1971 film “Harold and Maude.” Cult Movie Monday includes the movie, free popcorn and a cash bar with drink specials. Often there are contests or other activities after the film.

Professor Bury’s Creature Feature Show

Horror isn’t just for Halloween. Once a month Professor Bury hosts a screening of a classic horror movie. This month the movie is “Jaws,” brought to you by Mad Monster Party and the Haunted Mill. Mad Monster Party, a horror convention, will host a cast reunion for “Jaws” in March. At the Creature Feature Show, Professor Bury will hold a gruesome contest; winners will receive one-day passes to Mad Monster Party.
