A pedestrian was struck early Wednesday morning November 12, 2012 on Pineville-Matthews Road near Johnston Road.
The man darted across the road from the Walgreens Drug Store into oncoming traffic. He barely made it past a car in the lane closest to him but was hit by a car in the next lane over by a silver Nissan Pathfinder. It seemed that the driver never saw him.
The man was alive at the scene and was transported to a local hospital.
