Concrete Décor Show
Now in its fourth year, The Concrete Décor Show will offer training March 11-15 and show exhibits, demonstrations and seminars March 13-15 at Charlotte Convention Center, 501 S. College St.
The exhibit hall will be open 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. March 13-14 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 15. Through March 10, general admission tickets are $25 and will be $45 onsite for three-day entry into the exhibit hall, a welcome reception and the keynote speaker’s address. Individual seminar and summit prices vary.
During the show, concrete artisans, trainers and attendees will build and renovate concrete surfaces and areas at the Charlotte Rescue Mission. Seven different workshops will be held at the mission to demonstrate projects such as staining floors, renovating the gym with a polished concrete floor and more.

March 16
Community Gardening
Cabarrus County Extension Agent David Goforth will lead this course, which will offer hands-on training for growing a garden. The kick-off will be 9 a.m. to noon March 16 at Elma C. Lomax Incubator Farm, 4335 Atando Road, Concord. Cost is $32 per student, each of whom will get a space for growing a garden for the season. Register at 704-920-3310 or djgoforth@cabarruscounty.us.
