• The Bobcats never suspended Ben Gordon for disrupting a shootaround before the Feb. 11 game against the Boston Celtics.
The suspicion was the Bobcats didn’t want to harm Gordon’s trade value.
So Gordon doesn’t play at all in the Bulls game, the first game after the trade deadline.
Sure looks like a message was sent.
• Bobcats owner Michael Jordan rarely sits next to the team bench the way he used to.
He was back in that seat for the Bulls game, but with about three minutes left before halftime, he vacated.
• Badly as the Bobcats played in general in the first half, it was one of Bismack Biyombo’s better performances – seven points on 3-of-3 shooting, nine rebounds and three blocks.
• Among the many bad shooting nights Friday, Ramon Sessions’ 0-of-6 first half still stuck out.
