Monday morning traffic update

Several problems are being reported at 8:15 a.m. Monday on streets in north Charlotte.

Police are dealing with collisions on University City Boulevard and on the outer loop of I-485.

Congestion is the big problem elsewhere.

Here is the 8:15 a.m. summary:

I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Providence Road to I-77.

I-485 outer loop, north Charlotte ... Collision reported about 8 a.m., between North Tryon Street and I-85; moderate delays, with traffic moving 20-30 mph.

I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Mooresville down to I-485.

I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Carowinds Boulevard to Woodlawn Road.

I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-30 mph from N.C. 73 to I-485.

Independence Boulevard inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-20 mph from Village Lake Drive to Idlewild Road.

Albemarle Road inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 10-20 mph from Harris Boulevard to Sharon Amity Road.

U.S. 321, Gaston County ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-30 mph from Dallas down to I-85.

University City Boulevard at Pavilion Boulevard ... Collision reported about 8:10 a.m.; injuries involved; moderate delays.

Carmel Road at Johnston Road ... Collision reported at 8:10 a.m.; minor to moderate delays.
